INAUGURATION OF THE FIRST SET OF STUDENTS (MASTER IN FILM CULTURE & ARCHIVAL STUDIES) AND THE UNDERGRADUATE MATRICULATION TAKES PLACE IN JOS




    The Nigerian Film Corporation/National Film Institute, Jos and the University of Jos Tuesday, October 22, 2019 officially announced the commencement of the newly introduced Master Degree Programme in Film Culture & Archival Studies. The Also, newly admitted students into the Bachelors Degree Programme in Film Arts of the National Film Institute have had their matriculation, same day. The two events which ran back to back was attended by distinguished personalities and representatives of the sponsoring partners of the Master Pregramme, parents, guardians and principal offers of the University of Jos and the Nigerian Film Corporation/National Film Institute. Others included traditional leaders, members of the public. Professor Sebastian Maimako Vice Chancellor, University of Jos; and Dr. Chidia Maduekwe, Managing Director/Chief Executive, Nigerian Film Corporation, were represented by Prof. Tanko Ishaya _Deputy Vice Chancellor, Academics and Mr, Edmund Peters, Head, Production and Industry Services Department, respectively. All events took place at the permanent site of the National Film Institute, Nukpis-Lamingo, Beside JUTH, Jos in Plateau State.
